Gift Giving... Hooray!

So the best gifts are gifts that come with some thought!

For my (Anna) birthday this year, my friend Sara made me this bag:

It's totally cute, and I know she made it especially for me! And I Heart this Bag!

She also sells custom made bags so if you want to get your hands on one... just email us!

I heart the mail when I see something like this in it:

They come directly from Meg's Dad, and he's been sending them since we were in college, for no particular reason. They are so fun and fantastic... and thought was definately involved.
So spread the love, and make your next present!!

Instructables.com brings us this tasty idea... Using Ikea ice cube trays, and freezing a straw inside brings us a cool way to sip a beverage!

Dress up your wall in style! We are totally diggin' on these new designs from Walter, and available through Fold Bedding just peel and stick... trust us they are better than Mama's wallpaper!!

Summertime Means Riding the Scrambler!

2004 brought us Artist Rosemarie Fiore's Scrambler Project shown above. She attached buckets of paint to the seats of a scrambler... and the results were glorious.

It brings to mind some toys that brought us hours of summertime enjoyment:

The Spirograph and...

LITE BRITE!

We ask you who thinks of these online versions??
We say whoever did deserves a medal!

Brushin' Your Teeth In Style!

We love these fantastic and CUTE tiles created by textile designer Angela Adams. Why not bring something fun and creative to your bathroom? Angela has transformed her passion for creating fabrics and rugs into these 3D tile versions, and she's from Maine, and who doesn't love Maine!

Yummmm.... So Good You're Gonna Wanna Eat Off 'Em

Plates, Plates, and More Plates... Oh and a bowl!!

Sarah Cihat brings us some "Rehabilitated Dishware" via her website: http://sarahcihat.com/

She is straight up Brooklyn, resurfacing old plates found at secondhand stores with new bold colors and her choice graphic designs.

One of the best places to find gifts are on museum websites. Above is a plate from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Store: http://www.metmuseum.org/ that is adapted from 17th Century (that be old) Dutch water colorist Jacob Marrel's paintings. Great Wedding Presents!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Totally feeling this cheese platter made by ceramic artist Maeera Mougin, you can't tell by this pic but the plate's graphics are made from actual cheese labels!! http://www.maeeramougin.com/ ....mmmmm....cheese

----------------------------------------------------------------

DAVID BOWIE & you can eat off him... this could be priceless. Fashion Designer Paul Smith joins with design firm Mosley Meets Wilcox to bring these plates to life... $625 a set, yikes... they were limited addition http://www.paulsmith.co.uk/

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The perfect guestbook? Steuben brings us this bowl which comes with a silver pen that is tipped with a diamond... your peeps can sign it forever... just like our beer pong table in college (except our table was built from cinder blocks and a sheet of wood probably about $30 with the Sharpies), this joint is $1,800! http://steuben.com/

Something to try:
How Smart is Your Right Foot?
1. While Sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it.

2. Now, while you are doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction!!!

We LOVE these T-Shirts, they look cute but they say nasty little things, but we can't afford them!!
